Shinyori AU

Hiyori fought off a blush "Yer lyin." She shook her head and placed her bag on her desk, using the cover to slide her headphones up her shirt, letting them dangle outside her shirt before sneaking them up to her ears and pressing play.

In an attempt to hide her blush she quickly rested her face in her arms again, preparing for the two hours ahead of them.

Shinji rolled his eyes as he watched the girl get comfortable. Why would she bother to call him a liar? He’s never lied before, so why should he start now?

“I ain’t lyin’.” He said firmly, watching her.

Hiyori looked up and took a headphone out of her ear, snorting at him. She fought the urge to actually consider the fact that he was telling the truth, that she had been saying his name in her sleep. She quickly shook the thought from her brain. Not only would that be embarrassing but Shinji would put that together in two seconds.

"I don't talk in my sleep, dumbass, I never have." She whispered, looking at him.

“Yes ya do. Do I lie?” He asked the girl, wondering why the hell she was denying it so much. Was it really that big of a deal?

“Wh’re ya’ denyin’ it so much?” He asked. He looked over to their teacher and watched as they left the room telling them that he’ll be back in a couple of minutes and that they shouldn’t be bad.
Whatever, he thought, turning back to the girl and watched her.

She waited for the teacher to leave before she replied.

"Not that I know of...." She began before she started to blush again, she crossed her arms over her chest before glaring at him, "'Cause I don't talk in my sleep!"

Shinji watched her blush and thought about what it could mean. She clearly didn’t dream about kicking his ass, or else she wouldn’t be blushing, which only really left one option. He stared at the blonde, his eyes widening as his mind tried to wrap itself around the idea.

“Do…Do ya dream about us, or somethin’?” He asked, trying really hard to keep the hope from his voice. His heart seemed to pick up its pace as he watched her.

She laughed nervously, "Like, us, us?" She asked, getting the slightest hint of hope from his voice. She looked over at him, a tingling in her chest and belly. No, not butterflies dammit! She sighed and nodded, "Yeah, us." She wished she could take those words back as soon as she said them.

His eyes widened as her words reached his ears. Did…Did she mean what he thought she meant? He turned his body fully towards her and watched her. Before he could think about what he was doing, he cupped the side of her face.

“Like…this?” He asked, his voice getting a bit hoarse as he leaned a bit toward her.

Hiyori stiffened for a moment when he touched her face.

She wrapped her arms around him, pulling him closer to her before she roughly pressed her lips to his.

"Yeah, something like this." She pulled away for a moment to answer, before crushing her lips back to his. Every sense she had was going haywire, taking in everything she could, like how he had this smell that she couldn't quite name, or how his hair felt tangled in her fingers, or how he tasted strangely sweet. Her emotions went into overload as well, a wave of excitement and happiness flooded through her, two emotions she hadn't felt in a long time.

Shinji let himself get roughly pulled into a kiss that seemed to liberate him. When she replied to him, his heart seemed to soar and he roughly pulled her onto his lap, wanting to be as close as he possibly could. He nibbled on her bottom lip and begged for entrance. His arms encircled her and he pulled her flush against him.

Hiyori let out a surprised gasp when she found her self being pulled onto his lap, she instinctively wrapped her legs around his waist and kissed him back. She tightened her hold around his neck, pressing herself as close to him as possible. She let out another gasp as he bit down on her lip, giving him access.

Shinji moaned deeply when he got access to her mouth. He couldn’t quite place what she tasted like, but it was addicting, and he wanted so much more. Realizing he would need air in his lungs at some point in his life, he reluctantly pulled away resting his horsehead on hers.

“God, you have no idea how long I wanted to do that.” He breathed, his eyes trained on her face that looked which looked, in his opinion, somewhat angelic.

She groaned, he tasted like... well like heaven, there was no way she could describe him. She too pulled away, resting her forehead against his, panting. She already missed the feel of the blond man's lips against her own, she wanted him, more then she had ever let on. And she had him.

"A long ass time? Yeah... me too." She met his gaze, she fought the urge to look away, just staring at him. She just looked down at him and smiled, freeing a hand to brush away a stray strand of hair from his face.

Shinji smiled softly at her, letting her remove a particularly annoying strand of hair that seemed to love tickling his nose. He enjoyed the feel of her touching him. Somewhere along the 7 years that he knew her, he had fallen for her. He really had no idea why, or how (it seemed that it was not something that was good for his health) but he did; and hard.

He raised his own hand and traced her jaw softly, his thumb brushing over lower lip as he tried to ingrain the feel of them into his mind. They were soft and plump, not how he imagined them to be at all.

“Yeah.” He breathed and kissed her once more, but this time, softer. His movements were slow and deliberate. He meant to run his hand through her now released hair. He meant to brush her cheek with his hand. Every single action was enjoyed and savored.

Shinji looked so happy while she brushed the hair away from his face. She didn't know how she felt about the man for a long time, she had only recently come to the realization about how she felt. She wasn't used to getting emotionally attached to anyone really, but she wanted to believe that Shinji had stuck through her abuse for some reason. And this would actually explain a lot.

Her lips quirked as he ran his thumb over them, an involuntary shiver running down her spine. She welcomed his kiss, surprised at the softness. His lips were soft and welcoming. Hiyori couldn't help but feel safe with him. WWIII could have been happening and she wouldn't have noticed, or cared. She kept one hand secured in his hair, the other one caressed his cheek.

The blond man hummed happily into the kiss, hugging the small woman in his arms tightly, before letting her lips go.

"The teacher can walk in any minute ya' know." He warned, eyes still closed, forehead resting on hers. He couldn't really bring himself to care that much about his words, even if a little voice in the back of his mind told him that he really should.

She sighed unhappily. Remembering the sad truth about their situation.

"There ya go again, ruinin the moment, stupid." She whispered softly. She knew, deep down that he was right, if the teacher walked in, they'd both be expelled.

She pressed her lips to his, lingering for a few extra moments before pulling away and getting off of him. She sat back down in her seat next to his, right as the teacher walked into the class.

"Thank you for not killing each other while I was away." He sighed, placing even more papers then he left with on his desk.

He let our a breathy laugh as she got off, trying not to dwell on the fact that he really liked her where she was, and turned forward once more, just as the teacher walked in.

He didn't bother replying to the old fart, he just glared and hoped that the time would move extremely fast. He put his head down, angling it to the side so that he could still see Hiyori, and let his fingers trace his own lips. The last kiss she gave him... well, it kinda left him reeling (no, it didn't take his breath away, because he's a male, and guys don't loose their breath). He hadn't been aware she could be so... gentile. He knew how he felt about her, but he couldn't get his hopes up too high. He was quite content with whatever it is they have.

Hiyori watched Shinji in take in the whole situation, she couldn't help but roll her eyes.

"I ain't goin anywhere, dumbass, really, eyes back in yer head." She shook her head and put her head down on her desk, facing Shinji, but she quickly closed her eyes.

Internally, she was screaming bloody murder, the events seemed so surreal playing back in her head. I mean really, things like this didn't happen, at least not to her. She just didn't know what was going on. But first thing's first she needed a few minutes to stop her world from spinning, which it most definitely was.

Shinji rolled his eyes, not wanting to reply and make her even more mad. He had gone about an hour without getting hit, which was surely a world record. He sighed deeply and closed his eyes, letting everything sink in, not only for himself, but for her as well.

"You're dismissed." Their teacher barked, swiftly grabbing his own belongings and leaving.

Hiyori groaned and sat up, had two hours passed that quickly?

"Ugh, it's dark out and I haveta walk home." She muttered, looking outside to face the quickly fading light of the day.

"Come on," Shinji said, sighing. He didn't let her walk home in the dark normally, and he sure as hell wasn't about to start. If they got moving soon, he will make it home before his curfew.

She looked at him seriously, "Are ya joking? Yer gonna miss curfew. Even if we RUN there and back. Just go." She stuck out her tongue, "I'll be fine."

Shinji rolled his eyes at the short blonde and sighed. “Does it look like I care?” He asked, beginning to walk in the general direction of her house.

“Hurry up, slow poke.”

"You should care, dumbass." She grabbed her bag and ran quickly left school, it was creepy once everyone had left. She whirled around to face a noise behind her, she just shrugged it off and ran after Shinji.

She ran after him, greeted by the cool evening air.
